Workstage Completes High Performance Development for Northrop Grumman

National defense is the focus at Northrop Grumman’s new three-story, 99,011 square foot building. It is located on the company’s corporate campus in Melbourne, Florida.

“Northrop Grumman outgrew their current space and were in need of a quick solution,” said Kent Riddle, executive Vice President of Workstage, the developer for the defense contractor’s project. “We delivered the building with an aggressive schedule and provided competitive financing for this long term lease.”

The new workplace provides a flexible yet secure home for 400 employees who had been temporarily housed in modular trailers and leased space. The space features work neighborhoods that link private offices, open offices, laboratory spaces and team areas.

The high performance office building design and systems conform to the city’s hurricane requirements. The site and building security conforms to the U.S. Department of Defense standards and Northrop Grumman’s corporate guidelines.

Construction on the project began in October 2006 and was completed in July.

Workstage commended for sustainable leadership
Workstage was the youngest company by 18 years commended for Sustainable Leadership by Corenet, AIA and IIDA.
