ADP teams with Workstage for new eco-friendly solutions center
Last summer, ADP engaged Workstage to design an eco- and people-friendly customer solutions center for its growing operations in Augusta, Georgia. Today, that same team is building the 163,000-square foot high performance center.

Everything about the new solutions center is designed for employee comfort and well-being. ADP staffers will enjoy the convenience of an on-site dry cleaner, credit union and fitness room. A full-service kitchen will supply visitors to the cafeteria and the outdoor terrace. Food pantries with lounge areas are located near workspaces for quick refreshment and refueling.
Mothers have a dedicated nursing room while ill staffers have a place to relax and recover. An eco-friendly design delivers fresh, clean air and daylight to the workspace to promote good health among occupants.

The project is registered under LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), a measurement program for green buildings. Sustainable features include:
- A good portion of the 34-acre site will be preserved as a natural conservation area.
- Water conserving fixtures and systems will reduce the facility’s consumption by an estimated 40% over industry requirements.
- Energy efficient systems will reduce the building’s power consumption by a projected 15-25%.
- The energy load for lighting will decrease by 30-40% while maintaining normal lighting levels.

Workstage is widely recognized for their green building expertise and was commended for company’s sustainable leadership by the American Institute of Architects, Corenet and International Interior Design Association.
Workstage recently built Royal Caribbean’s customer service center, a LEED Gold facility and 2007 recipient of the National Grand Prize for New Construction. Similar to the Augusta ADP solutions center, Royal Caribbean’s building was designed first and foremost for the comfort and convenience of its users.
Using Workstage’s lean process, the center’s fast-track delivery is nearly five months quicker than a traditional timetable. The first phase of the building will be complete in November 2008 with the remaining employees moved in and enjoying the amenities by Spring 2009.
